ABOUT US

Welcome to the North Harbour Rockers Rock ‘n’ Roll Group.  Started in 1999 by Ann Bagnall, together with many willing helpers, we have been dancing in the Sunnynook Community Centre on the North Shore for the past 10 years and have quickly become a fun for all, regular dance group for like minded enthusiasts of all ages and from all walks of life.  Absolutely everyone is welcome!

The group originated out of a passion for Rock ‘n’ Roll dancing and an appreciation for Rock ‘n’ Roll music.  The group runs weekly Wednesday night social dances and regular Rock ‘n’ Roll dance lessons.  The North Harbour Rockers also participate in local dances and band nights, family fun days and barbeques as well as out of town festivals and events. We are actively involved in promoting Rock 'n' Roll within the community.  For details of what is on and where, check out our Bands and Events page.

We run courses throughout the year for both Beginners and Intermediate level dancers and endeavour to run these courses 4 - 5 times a year.  Our Beginner's lessons run for 6 weekly 1 hour sessions and our Intermediate level lessons run for 4 weekly 1 hour sessions.  Both are followed by social dancing and a light supper.  See our Dance Lessons page for more information.

North Harbour Rockers is a friendly, supportive and fun group where everybody, regardless of dancing ability is very welcome. With the North Harbour Rockers everyone is guaranteed a good time!
